It's a word on the lips of many including presidential candidates, environmentalists, economists, struggling homeowners and anxious retirees.
Thousands of Richmonders, however, recently took the notion to art in honor of ART 180's (www.art180.org) milestone. The "Change for a Ten" campaign marked the 10th anniversary of the nonprofit group's efforts to help young people create change through art.
In exchange for a $10 donation, participants from toddlers and seniors to politicians and community leaders took a dollar-bill template and literally made money illustrating their vision for change in the community.
Schools without roaches. More farmers markets. A bounty of community gardens. Gender equality in leadership positions. World peace.
These and the artistic embodiment of nearly 2,700 other visions will be on display starting tomorrow at 7 p.m. at the VCU Brandcenter, 103 S. Jefferson St. Sponsorships by Northwestern Mutual and Dominion helped make the participation of more area (Full review)
